Gilson® is proud to announce Jeffrey Hall as the 2011 Golden PIPETMAN® Award Winner! Hall received his Bachelor of Science at Oregon State University in 2007 and is currently working on his thesis regarding staphylococcal genetics through the University of Minnesota Microbiology Immunology and Cancer Biology Program (MICaB).
The Golden PIPETMAN is an award given to an outstanding graduate student in the MICaB Program through the University of Minnesota. Each semester a student that shows great leadership skills and has contributed to the excellence of the MICaB program in the form of publications, outside funding or service is chosen.
The recipient receives a “golden” PIPETMAN trophy that is presented by the MICaB program, as well as a PIPETMAN® Neo Starter Kit that is donated by Gilson. The PIPETMAN Neo Starter Kit contains three PIPETMAN® Neo pipettes, plus boxes of certified-quality PIPETMAN tips and useful accessories – great for someone starting post-graduate school.
“My lab currently uses Gilson PIPETMAN and they are sturdy equipment. I’m excited to have a brand new set to use to continue my research!” Hall stated. “I appreciate Gilson continuing to support the Golden PIPETMAN Award...it is something the students look forward to being nominated for.
